Billy Byrnes Jazz Club present ‘The Ceo Experiment’

CEO Experiment is the highly acclaimed Dublin-based trio featuring Leopoldo Osio (piano), Peter Erdei (electric bass), and Cote Calmet (drums), known for defining the cutting edge of fusion jazz and modern improvisation. Praised by All About Jazz as ‘outstanding exponents’ of the genre, the band is globally recognized for their intense technical mastery and historic 2017 collaboration with guitar legend Kurt Rosenwinkel. Following their anticipated return, CEO Experiment is preparing for a special 2026 10th Anniversary Tour, where they will be joined by the tremendous Andalusian saxophonist Carlos Ligero.

Tradfest presents Clare Sands & Band

Clare Sands is a sixth generation fiddle player and bilingual singer from Cork, Ireland. Drawing deeply from the music of her ancestors, she weaves Traditional Irish roots with Contemporary sounds and influences. Her songs are deeply connected to place, and where folklore, language, and activism meet melody. Known for her raw and infectious energy, she embodies a fearless warrior-like spirit, that inspires and unites audiences around the world.

Tradfest presents Séamus & Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta

Siblings Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta hail from the Gaeltacht region of Connemara. They are noted for their sean nós singing and unique arrangements of both Irish and English language songs. Their performances benefit from the vocal tones that only families share.

Tradfest presents Padraig, Jack and Band

Irish bilingual singer-songwriter Padraig Jack was born and raised in the Aran islands Gaeltacht which influences his Celtic, Folk, Contemporary music and a place that has produced well known Irish writers Liam O’Flaithearta, Máirtín Ó’Direáin and Breandán Ó’hEithir, Padraig is proudly bilingual both as a conversationalist and a songwriter and writes and sings meaningful songs on guitar and piano in Irish Gaelic and English.

Peter Moren is a profesional musician for more than 20 years. He brings his incredible set to Kilkenny Roots Festival. Sun Years has reinvigorated him as a songwriter confirming him as one of Swedens most enduring talents.

Kilkenny Roots Festival presents Elise

ELISE is an indie/alternative folk artist whose music blends heartfelt lyricism with full rhythmic soundscapes. Her second EP, released in April 2025, was celebrated with a sold-out launch show at Cleeres, Kilkenny, followed by another sold-out performance at the Kilkenny Arts Festival this year. ELISE has supported acclaimed artists including James Vincent McMorrow, Arborist, Ailbhe Reddy, and Rozi Plain. Backed by a dynamic five-piece band, her live shows are full of drive and energy, while her smooth, airy vocals bring an emotional richness that captivates audiences and leaves a lasting impression.

Kilkenny Roots Festival presents Dead Goat

Followed by DJ Edel playing killer tunes from her eclectic 7″ vinyl single collection keeping the floor filled from midnight into the early hours. Individually, they are each accomplished artists in their own right. Together, they are DEAD GOAT, a Northern Irish supergroup made up of renowned songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, producers, singers, and long-standing friends.

Kilkenny Roots Festival presents Seamus Fogarty

Followed by DJ Edel playing killer tunes from her eclectic 7″ vinyl single collection keeping the floor filled from midnight into the early hours. Seamus Fogarty returns to The Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots for the first time since 2018, with a full band and a brand new album in tow. Packed with poignant and funny slice-of-life vignettes touching on love, loss, DIY coffins, cans on trains with strangers and so much more.

Kilkenny Roots Festival presents Modern Nature

When Modern Nature toured their last album, 2023’s No Fixed Point In Space, it became apparent to Jack Cooper – the band’s main creative force – that they were already pulling away from the free, open-ended approach they had spent five years working towards; almost as if the music had become so abstract and elasticated, it now had to snap back towards something more structured. As they found themselves naturally locking into more fixed grooves, he realised a new direction had been set. Their new album – The Heat Warps – is the triumphant manifestation of where that new direction took them.
