Anders Bergcrantz is one of the most highly regarded jazz trumpeters on the international scene, in constant demand on both sides of the Atlantic. A powerful, thoughtful musician with one ear to the past and the other to the future of the music, he has played with some of the major stars of jazz, including Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, McCoy Tyner and Michael Brecker.
“Tough and lyrical with a gorgeous softball tone”
“F-JOB is a trio with bags of personality, where virtuoso playing is tempered by rich rhythmic textures, strong melodies and a soulful collective voice”.
All About Jazz
F-JOB are three of Ireland’s leading jazz musicians – pianist Greg Felton, drummer Matthew Jacobson and bassist Cormac O’Brien. Greg Felton is also a member of the highly rated White Rocket trio, and as a sideman, he has played with Louis Stewart, Ronan Guilfoyle and many others. Cormac O’Brien leads his own groups, including Rhythm Method, and is in constant demand as a side man with leaders like Mary Coughlan and Louis Stewart. Matthew Jacobson is a band leader and record producer with Diatribe Records, and is a member of several important Irish groups, including Irish traditional trailblazers Ensemble Eriu and Umbra.
For the past year, F-JOB have been developing their own sound as a piano trio, working on both original material and arranging and improvising with broadway standards and even well-known pop songs.
